Fraser Island bushfire burning on two fronts as Kingfisher Bay Resort guests told to leave and weather conditions worsen

Guests at Fraser Island’s largest resort have been told to leave this morning as a “significant fire” continues to burn with fire crews expecting north-westerly winds and conditions similar to yesterday.

- Extra ferry services have been put on to take them to the mainland
- The fire has burnt through 74,000 hectares over the past six weeks
