After Red Bull stole the limelight in FP3, the jury was out as to whether Mercedes were the form runners at this track. But Hamilton soon set the doubters straight, and in truth looked unstoppable. He topped all three qualifying segments to secure his 98th career pole and third in Bahrain, finishing a reasonably emphatic three tenths of a second ahead of his team mate. Bottas made it a one-two for the Silver Arrows but couldnt find any answers to the pace of his team mate today.
