Townsville man, woman remanded in custody after girl died in hot car

A man and a woman have been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with manslaughter over the death of a three-year-old girl in a car in Townsville.
ABC News reported the 29-year-old man appeared in the Townsville Magistrates court briefly on Saturday morning.
The three-year-old was taken to Townsville University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.Credit:Tony Moore
His co-accused, the girl’s mother, 37, did not appear in court.
Both have been remanded in custody after being arrested in relation to the death on Friday, with the case to be heard again on December 14.
