Western United sign ex-La Liga midfielder – The World Game
Western United have bolstered their midfield stocks by signing former La Liga midfielder Victor Sanchez for the next two A-League seasons.

Sanchez, 33, joins Mark Rudan’s team after a long career largely spent in Spain’s top flight – making more than 300 La Liga appearances, initially at Barcelona but predominantly at Espanyol.
“I am very happy to be joining an ambitious club like Western United and I want the fans to know I am committed and enthusiastic about the challenge ahead,” Sanchez said.
“I want to say thank you to those who have made this move come true. I am extremely grateful for the trust they have shown in me.”
