Child reportedly discovered dead in car at Townsville
Queensland police have been called to Townsville University Hospital to reports of a child found inside a hot car.
Nine News reported it was believed a child was discovered dead in the car. Temperatures in Townsville were about 30C on Friday.
A police statement said police and detectives from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit were attending after an initial call at 3.30pm “in relation to a child”.
Police said there was no further information immediately available.
