A young mum has been given a 1 per cent chance of survival after mistaking an ultra-rare form of cancer for a mouth ulcer.
Kimberley Eccles, 23, from England, noticed the lump in her left cheek growing increasingly painful over the course of the year.
But a series of appointments with doctors were cancelled due to the pandemic.
It was only when she collapsed at work that she was finally seen by a doctor in August.
And a consultation, biopsy and MRI scan revealed the worst: cancer.
