Intruder poses as statue in failed attempt to evade police at Adelaide building site

An intruder “found snooping” around an Adelaide building site tried to evade detection by pretending to be a statue, police have said.

- Police were called to a South Plympton building site early this morning
- A man allegedly found trespassing pretended to be a statue in an attempt to avoid detection
- In a separate incident, another intruder was later found in a home owner’s kitchen
The man from Seaton, in Adelaide’s west, was allegedly spotted inside the South Plympton building site by a security company early this morning.
Police were called to Pleasant Avenue just before 3:30am after receiving reports of a person walking around the apartments with a torch.
