A tight-knit Queensland community is rallying around a young family torn apart by an unthinkable tragedy.

Melissa Martin and Dylan Wadley and four children were driving home from the Gold Coast to their Pratten home on the weekend when their car left the road.

It ended up overturned and submerged in Wyaralong Dam with two children trapped inside.

Martin’s 13-year-old son Leo and four-year-old daughter Mia died while their one-year-old son Ace continues to fight for life in hospital.
