There are no active COVID cases in Victoria, after the last coronavirus patient was released yesterday
The last COVID-19 patient in a Victorian hospital has been discharged, bringing Victoria closer to officially eliminating the virus.

- A man released from Monash Medical Centre yesterday was Victoria’s only active case

- Victoria hasn’t recorded a new infection since October
As of yesterday, the patient was the only active case in the state.
The Department of Health and Human Services has confirmed the man left Monash Medical Centre yesterday.
The man’s wife, who had also been hospitalised with the virus, was discharged last week.
DHHS says the last time Victoria’s hospitals were free of coronavirus cases was February 21.
