Hundreds more cases have been reported across the region, with Lancashire showing the biggest increase

Around 2,000 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the North West in the past 24 hours.
The latest data shows that there have been a total of 293,071 cases in the region as of yesterday evening (November 22) – up from 291,077 the day before. .
Latest figures from Public Health England (PHE) show that there have been another 469 cases recorded in Lancashire – taking the total of cases up to 58,979 since March.
