Our crews in the Torres Strait must deal with all manner of threat – protecting our borders from COVID-19, illegal fishing, environmental protection, the import/export of prohibited goods and of course, Mother
Nature.Officer Liam, a crew member on board the Australian Border Force Cutter Roebuck Bay, took this ominous photo minutes before the vessel encountered the massive storm.
Bay Class vessels, are a key asset to protecting the Torres Strait protected area and surrounding Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
