Noosa’s Main Beach reopens after major clean-up following Schoolies spree

By 11am, the beach was fully reopened.
“Our crews and cleaning contractors have meticulously cleaned the beach and removed overnight rubbish. Huge thanks to those workers out this morning,” council said in an update to the public.
While there are no official Schoolies events in Queensland this year due to COVID-19, police are aware of large numbers of school-leavers in private accommodation around Noosa.
Police are keeping track of incidents involving schoolies, but so far the recent graduates have been well-behaved and authorities have not had to deal with any major incidents.
