Georgia certifies election results but challenges remain ongoing in other states

US President Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the US presidential election results may have been dealt a major blow after the state of Georgia certified its results, but challenges remain in other states.
Despite president-elect Joe Biden having been projected to win more than enough electoral votes to be inaugurated as the next US president in January, Mr Trump’s legal team is resting its hopes on getting Republican-controlled legislatures in battleground states won by Mr Biden to set aside the results and declare Mr Trump the winner.
Republicans control the Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin legislatures.
