A motorcyclist has died after losing control while trying to merge with traffic on the Sunshine Coast.
The 28-year-old Buddina man had been riding along Karawatha Drive at Mountain Creek about 7.30pm on Friday, police said in a statement.
When attempting to merge with traffic, the black Suzuki motorcycle lost control and hit a tree.
Witnesses stopped to give the man first aid before emergency services arrived but he died a short time later.
