ABF and AFP combine forces to nab Perth bagman
A Perth man has been arrested for his role in allegedly attempting to smuggle methamphetamine into Australia, concealed in handbags.
The ABF has significantly ramped up screening of air cargo consignments this year in response to increased volumes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The additional officers in the air cargo and international mail streams have made it harder for criminals to smuggle illicit drugs across the border.
