Donald Trump keeps claiming the US election was rigged from ‘Dominion down’. So what is Dominion Voting Systems?

Donald Trump is entering his third week of denying the US election results, relying on his favourite social media platform to spread broad and baseless claims.
He has tweeted that the presidency is still his to win, claiming the votes were “rigged” and that the “Radical Left Democrats” are trying to “STEAL the election” with their partner, “the Fake News Media”.
None of this is true.
Last week, he made a claim with a bit more specificity. In sharing a report from a far-right news outlet, he alleged that a company called Dominion had intentionally “deleted 2.7 million votes nationwide”.
