#ThrowbackThursday takes us back to January 1992 to acknowledge our very first QAS executive team when they were taking up their appointments following the transition from the Queensland Ambulance Transport
Brigade (QATB) to the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) earlier in July 1991.Our first QAS Commissioner, Noel Gillard, took over from Acting Commissioner Dr Gerry Fitzgerald in September 1991 and set about appointing the initial QAS executive team of Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and the QAS Medical Director.
