A family of a severely disabled American child who was born when a nurse inadvertently gave a woman the flu shot instead of a birth control injection has been awarded $US10 million ($A13 million).
A federal judge in Seattle has awarded the child $US7.5 million for her medical, educational and other expenses, The Seattle Times reports.
Her parents were also awarded an additional $US2.5 million in damages.
