A huge achievement for one of our Mackay staff in recognition of his work within the community.
Neil John, a paramedic of 19 years, was recently awarded the Surf Life Saving Australia Surf Lifesaver of the Year
As president and club captain of the Sarina Surf Lifesaving Club, Neil has spearheaded an initiative to better involve and engage with nipper families at the club and this has seen junior membership increase by more than 30% last year.
The QAS has a long and distinguished history of working alongside Surf Lifesaving, especially in the Sarina region, and we’re proud to see Neil embodying the best of both organisations!
