Cats and Tigers AFL grand final at Brisbane’s Gabba not expected to be affected by storms

It’s the news that the grand final crowd will greet with relief — storm activity forecast for South East Queensland on Saturday is expected to stay inland, sparing the Gabba and its historic Queensland game.
The Bureau of Meteorology said fairly cloudy and humid conditions are likely for game day, with the chance of a shower in the late afternoon and evening.
The Melbourne-based Tigers and Cats might find Brisbane’s muggy October tough but they won’t have to sweat over the chance of a rain-out.
Yesterday the Bureau of Meteorology had predicted the chance of a thunderstorm, but today meteorologist Rosa Hoff said the capital is now likely to be clear of storms.
