Chefs to re-emerge in Brisbane for Good Food Month

Stanley Restaurant chef Louis Tikaram, who is hosting a dinner on November 25, said he had a close connection to Good Food Month since he won its Young Chef of the Year title in NSW in 2014.
“I was offered an opportunity that changed my career and life, and now, putting through one of my young chefs, Sam Todd, into the Young Chef dinner and putting my own dinner on, it feels like a bit of a full circle,” he said.
Reflecting on how he coped during the pandemic, Mr Tikaram said he was confident the industry would bounce back.
“People say I’m a pretty positive person and I think that’s really all we had – believing we’d come back to work – so I hung on to that,” he said.
