The caveat for filming in The Plaza Hotel
Donald Trump did everything in his power to land a cameo in Home Alone 2.
The film’s director Chris Colombus, 62, opened up about the 1992 Christmas movie that featured a scene in The Plaza Hotel with the president. Trump owned the hotel at the time.
“Trump said okay,” Columbus said. “We paid the fee, but he also said, ‘The only way you can use the Plaza is if I’m in the movie.’ ”
