BOM Radar Brisbane, Queensland and Gold Coast: More severe storms on the way
Severe storm warnings remain in place across much of south-east Queensland.
Residents were spared the worst from thunderstorms which threatened to bring damaging conditions to the region on Wednesday afternoon.
Areas in the Darling Downs, west of Toowoomba, were hardest impacted, with hail falling across the area.
But a second line of storms, potentially bringing destructive winds, hail and heavy rain, are expected to hit in the evening.
