Caboolture Square security guard dies after alleged bashing at a shopping centre

A Queensland security guard allegedly bashed on the job at a shopping centre almost three weeks ago has died in hospital.

Charles Lewis, 38, was allegedly punched by another man at Caboolture Square, north of Brisbane, on the afternoon of October 9.

Police claim the alleged attacker was approached after throwing a chair inside the centre in what witnesses described as an unprovoked attack.
