QUEENSLAND FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE issue Leave Now for Cathedrals bushfire on Fraser Island (see below).

Queensland Police declare emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act for the following area –

Fence line encompassing address known as Cathedral Beach Campground, Eastern Beach, Fraser Island also known as Lot 53 Fraser Island Road, Fraser Island, Survey Plan 263674 and including the 2 way track between Eastern Beach Fraser Island and the main entrance of the Cathedral Beach Campground.
