From rissoles to ragu and burgers to bibimbap, there’s nothing quite like an amazing cut of beef. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many Aussies found comfort in beef like never before. 

This year’s Australian Beef Sustainability Framework report has found that Australians’ love affair with beef only grew stronger during the pandemic, with sales increasing by 20 per cent over a 12-week period until late April. Even beef sales at butchers jumped 39 per cent.
