‘Very dangerous storms’ could be on the way for Queensland, BOM says, after thousands left without power

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) says very dangerous storms are possible in large parts of Queensland on Tuesday, with severe storms forecast for eastern and northern areas of the state.

The BOM urged residents to prepare their homes “for the possibility of damaging to destructive wind gusts, large to giant hail and heavy to intense rainfall”.
The warning follows a severe storm that lashed South East Queensland on Sunday.
