QLD Police officer injured in chase near Chevron Island bridge, Surfers Paradise
A police officer has sustained leg and arm injuries during a police chase on the Gold Coast.
Queensland Police were alerted to reports a car had been “driving dangerously” and had travelled through several red lights on Elkhorn Avenue, Surfers Paradise about midday on Friday.
An officer approached the vehicle on foot after it came to a stop on Thomas Drive.
The car then attempted to drive off, hitting the side of Chevron Island bridge, and at one point colliding with a police officer.
