Government wins historic Bundaberg, Nicklin recounts

Labor has won the Sunshine Coast-based seat of Nicklin for the first time in its history and held on to the tightly contested seat of Bundaberg by just nine votes after recounts following the state election almost two weeks ago.
The two seats were final pieces to the parliamentary puzzle and deliver the Palaszczuk government 52 of the state’s 93 seats – a net gain of four from its last term after losing South Brisbane to the Greens.
