Queensland weather radar: BOM forecasts heatwave for Brisbane
Queenslanders are set to swelter as a heatwave brings soaring temperatures to much of the state.
Temperatures will peak up to 10C above average in southern and central areas from Saturday, the Bureau of Meteorology says.
“We’re looking at very hot conditions developing in much of the interior,” meteorologist Felim Hanniffy said on Friday.
“We’ll see daytime maxes approach the low, even mid-forties.”
