Man proposes at Brisbane Airport after partner stuck in Argentine for COVID pandemic
It’s not every day you see a proposal at the baggage carousel, but that’s what passengers at Brisbane Airport were treated to on Saturday.
Jake Barwick hadn’t seen his partner Lila since February, and surprised her by popping the question.
At the start of 2020, Barwick was ready to propose, but his plans were put on hold while his partner visited family in Argentina.
Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit and Lila was stuck overseas.
