LNP struggled to deliver a cut-through message like Labor in Queensland election campaign

The LNP is in a state of shock — it has been traumatised and humiliated and denial is the first instinct to kick in.
We saw that on Saturday night with Deb Frecklington bizarrely announcing she would continue on as Opposition Leader, and again yesterday with her insistence she had run a “strong campaign”.
Whoever takes over as LNP leader will need to take a good dose of reality and come to terms with this simple fact — the Opposition failed to convince the electorate that it was best placed to oversee Queensland’s economic recovery.
The economy was always the LNP’s path to victory.
