Toowoomba Hospital cafe, Wellbean Co, forced to apologise after worker served dead rat

A Queensland hospital worker has been served a cooked rat inside a burger while on his lunch break.

The medic, who works at Toowoomba Hospital, ordered a burger from Wellbean Co cafe last month.

But when he bit into it he discovered something very wrong, he told The Chronicle.

Sandwiched between the two buns, the man discovered a cooked rat carcass.

He took a photo of the disgusting find and alerted staff, who apologised over the incident.
