Car crashes into Brisbane restaurant, driver tries to flee
A driver has been arrested after a car crashed through the front of a restaurant at Newmarket and he tried to run off.
Emergency services were called to Newmarket Road before 10.30pm on Wednesday to find the red Volkswagen Golf halfway inside the restaurant.

Police said the 21-year-old man attempted to flee the scene but was arrested quickly.
He was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition, where blood samples were taken.
