Woman dies after being saved from Logan fire
A woman in her 70s has died after being removed from a burning unit in Logan overnight.
Emergency services were called to a Ewing Road unit complex at Woodridge just before 2am on Thursday.
Firefighters worked to control the blaze, which was put out about 15 minutes later.
“A person was removed from the home,” a QFES spokeswoman said.
Paramedics assessed the woman and attempts were made to revive her. She died at the scene.
The fire investigation unit is determining the cause of the fire. However, police believe the incident was non-suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
