Pilot in critical condition after plane crashes, bursts into flames

A small plane has crashed in a paddock in Logan before hitting trees and bursting into flames, leaving the pilot in critical condition.
The pilot, the sole occupant of the aircraft, freed himself from the wreckage but was lying next to it when it began to smoulder. Bystanders ran in and dragged him away as the plane went up in flames.

Emergency services were called to the scene near the junction of Spring Mountain Drive and Tully Connection Road in Greenbank, about 25 kilometres south of Brisbane, just after 2.30pm on Friday.
