Ma, the son and heir-apparent of Hong Kong press baron Ching-kwan Ma, was only 28 in 2017 when he bought it for $26.5 million from businessman Yaron Remen and his wife, Shauna. He has since added to his portfolio, paying almost $55 million for two neighbouring homes around the corner on the Vaucluse waterfront amid plans to demolish them to make three luxury homes.
