Another bird flu outbreak confirmed in Japan

8. November 2020 Tokyo, Nov. 8 (Jiji Press) A case of avian flu has been confirmed at a poultry farm in Kagawa Prefecture, western Japan, the prefectural government said on Sunday, marking the second avian flu outbreak this year. The virus is believed to be a highly pathogenic strain.
Approximately 48,000 chickens raised on the farm in Higashikagawa city are killed. The farm has already stopped moving its chickens and eggs.
