November 2020New research shows that children with Kawasaki disease more than 10 years after hospitalization are at increased risk of cardiovascular events due to their condition, underscoring the need for long-term heart disease monitoring and risk reduction strategies for these young patients. Details of the study were presented at ACR Convergence, the American College of Rheumatologys annual meeting (ABSTRACT # 0937).
