Antidepressant used to treat childhood cancer

A new study found that a commonly prescribed antidepressant can stop the growth of a type of cancer known as childhood sarcoma, at least in experiments with mice and laboratory cells. The results of researchers at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas raise hope for novel treatment strategies for this disease.
