QGAir Helicopter Rescue 500 at midnight last night winched a male with burns to face and arms who had fallen into a camp fire on North Stradbroke Island.
Due to the high tide it made it very difficult for QAS 4WD to access and also for the aircraft to land on the beach.
The male patient was winched into the aircraft and airlifted to the burns unit of RBH Hospital.
Thanks to the QAS unit from Dunwich for their efforts in reaching the incident and stabilising the patient.
