Portuguese study identifies SARS-CoV-2 antibodies up to 7 months after infection_china.org.cn – China.org.cn

LISBON, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) — A new study by the Joao Lobo Antunes Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM) here proved that antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 virus, the virus responsible for COVID-19, are detected up to seven months after infection in 90 percent of patients.
The results, now published in the European Journal of Immunology, also show that the levels of antibodies produced are determined by the severity of the disease, and not by the age of the infected person.
