As first reported by Live Science the family of the 34-year-old found him on the floor, struggling to breathe and covered in hives.
According to The Journal of Emergency Medicine, the man was experiencing a whole-body allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis, which can be life-threatening.
His family says he had a history of being allergic to the cold weather, and, in the past, had experienced hives as a reaction to cold weather.
