The Egyptian Medical Syndicate announced Sunday that one of its members has died of coronavirus, bringing the total fatalities among Egypt’s doctors to 191 since the outbreak began.
A union statement said that Hassan al-Qamash, a retired pediatrician consultant, died of COVID-19 complications at the Gamal Abdel Nasser Hospital in Alexandria.
Egypts Health Ministry on Saturday reported 170 new coronavirus cases, bringing the countrys total number of confirmed cases up to 107,555.
