LIGO and Virgo’s gravitational wave tally more than quadrupled in six months – ClickLancashire
According to the report in LIGO’s website, researchers reported on gravitational wave discoveries from compact binary coalescences detected by Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo between 1 April 2019 and 1 October 2019.
“Gravitational-wave astronomy is revolutionary – revealing to us the hidden lives of black holes and neutron stars”, says Christopher Berry, co-author and astrophysicist from the University of Glasgow.
