After performing limited testing in June, Facebook announced on Friday (30) that it would begin public dark mode testing in its app for Android and iOS. The functionality is eagerly awaited not only by owners of devices with OLED displays, which are expected to have a modest battery saving with the novelty, as well as by those who surf the social network in low-light environments.
