Microsoft has unveiled a major upgrade for its Spreadsheet program Excel, which extends the supported pool of data types far beyond numbers and text. In previous updates, the company introduced dynamic arrays and array formulas, and Bing-supported inventory and geographic data types that brought an element of intelligence to cells.
