LONDON, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) — Another 24,405 people in Britain have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 989,745, according to official figures released Friday.
The coronavirus-related deaths in Britain rose by 274 to 46,229, the data showed.
Meanwhile, the British government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) warned that hospital admissions in England are three weeks away from April peak.
