Sales in New Zealand did not fare as well, with JB Hi-Fi total sales falling 2.5 per cent, compared with 3.8 per cent growth a year ago. Comparable sales fell 2.5 per cent in the period, compared with a 3.8 per cent gain a year ago.
The first quarter sales result was an improvement on the fourth quarter of 2020, when revenue fell 5.7 per cent after being hit by the closures of stores as a result of government restrictions.
