ASX shrugs off global decline to close higher – The Australian Financial Review
The Australian sharemarket rebounded from a heavy loss to close the session higher on Wednesday as investors bought tech, health and gold stocks.

The market rebounded from a 0.5 per cent drop at the open on Wednesday, breaking into the green following the release of third-quarter inflation data.
Australia recorded the biggest quarterly rise in inflation since 2006, increasing 1.6 per cent in the September quarter, following a record fall in the previous quarter.
